The Reclamation Logo: A Symbol of Healing, Growth, and Empowerment
At Reclamation, we understand that healing is not just about easing physical symptoms, but about re-establishing a sense of wholeness within the body. Our logo embodies this holistic approach, serving as a visual representation of the transformative journey we invite our clients to experience. Designed with intention and meaning, the logo reflects the work that happens within our practice and the profound shifts that occur when one participates in physical therapy with Rachael Gossett, PT, DPT, SEP.
The Hexagon: The Physical Container
At the core of our logo lies a hexagon, a shape that symbolizes the physical container of the body. It represents the structure of our being—the boundaries that keep us whole and safe. Just as the hexagon is solid and defined, our physical bodies provide the same sense of stability and protection.
The River of Life: The Swirls Within
Flowing through the hexagon are swirling lines that illustrate the “River of Life,” a concept introduced by Dr. Peter Levine. These swirling currents represent the natural flow of energy and movement within each of us. Just as a river can encounter turbulent stretches, the body too may experience disruptions. These vortexes can have a strong pull on our physiology away from its equilibrium. However, there are also restorative forces—subtle currents that guide the body back to its natural rhythm.
Trauma and Disruption in the Physical Container
When trauma occurs, it creates a disruption in our boundaries—our physical container is impacted, often leading to a ripple effect that affects our physiology. These disruptions can interfere with the body's natural capacity to find the ebb and flow it once had. This can manifest as long-standing symptoms, as the body’s natural flow is disturbed. The additional lines at the base of the hexagon in our logo represent the containment and support we provide at Reclamation. Through our physical therapy treatments, we help restore the body’s natural movement, breath, and posturing—supporting it in regaining equilibrium and ease.
Restoring Vitality: The Blossoming Healing Vortex
Through the care provided at Reclamation, we work to reduce the impact of trauma on one’s physical body while encouraging the blossoming of the healing vortex within the body. As one regains their natural flow, we see the return of vitality, strength, and movement. The flowers extending from the top and sides of the hexagon symbolize this process and hopeful outcome—growth, expansion, and a renewed connection to the world around you and the activities that bring you joy.
