DR. RACHAEL GOSSETT,
PT, DPT, SEP, PCES
Hi, I’m Rachael Gossett, PT, DPT, SEP®, PCES
I help people in Colorado Springs move with less pain, breathe more freely, and feel back in control of their bodies—whether that’s during pregnancy, postpartum, or after injuries, surgery, or years of chronic tension.
Reading the Body
I like to think of myself as an expert in listening to the body. My Doctorate in Physical Therapy gives me a deep understanding of biomechanics and movement, while my Somatic Experiencing® training helps me read survival physiology—how the nervous system holds tension or stress. Together, this allows me to notice subtle patterns in how your body responds and guide you toward relief, balance, and ease of movement.
What I Do
I specialize in pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapy, using a blend of Somatic Experiencing®, guided movement, and hands-on techniques. My goal is to help your body release tension, restore mobility, and rebuild strength, while teaching you how to listen to your own body signals so you can respond and care for yourself between sessions.
I place a high value on truly listening and people being heard—taking the time to understand your history, your body’s patterns, and your goals—so we can put the entire picture together and create a plan that addresses your needs fully.
I’ve helped people with persistent or complex pain regain comfort and function when traditional approaches haven’t worked.
What a Session Feels Like
Gentle guidance to release muscle tension and/or pelvic floor tightness
Learning exercises to strengthen stabilizing muscles and improve coordination of systems in the body
Techniques to mobilize nerves or joints that are stiff or “stuck”
Support for reducing pain and moving more freely
Nervous-system-aware strategies that help you feel safe, grounded, and in control
Coaching to notice and respond to your body’s cues
My Philosophy
I believe in treating the whole person, not just symptoms. Healing happens when your nervous system feels safe, your muscles and joints can move freely, and your body learns to self-regulate and function naturally.
Let’s Work Together
I look forward to helping you regain comfort, strength, and confidence—while learning to listen to and care for your own body.
